Laura Huepenbecker

Environmental Documentarian 
& Events Producer 

Laura Huepenbecker is a documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her work explores food system justice, human-animal connectivity, and the resilience of nature.

 

Most recently, Laura associate produced the upcoming Biggest Little Farm series for National-Geographic / Disney, a sequel to the award-winning film showcasing the inspirational regeneration of a degraded Southern California farm.  She has worked for Netflix, PBS, Hulu and Vogue, published research on dairy farming hydrology, and produces digital spaces and popular live shows for other artists to share their work. Her documentary on coral reef ecology earned the Salmanowitz Prize for Moral Courage in Film at Boston College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in Agricultural Ecology and Political Science. 

 

Obsessed with soil and culture, Laura documents our dynamic agricultural future. She is eager to travel anywhere in the world to capture inspiring stories of the Anthropocene.
